Dr. Kuldeep Singh is a leader in Bariatric Surgery (weight loss surgery) known both locally and in the country. He was born in India and went to premier medical school (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in Delhi. *After Graduation* After graduating in 1987, he trained in orthopedic surgery for the next five years. He was also a research fellow in ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) where he did research on effect of YOGA on Ankylosing Spondylitis. He has been in US for over sixteen years.
He has trained again in general surgery (St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore) and did additional training (fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Towson, Maryland) in 1999. *St. Agnes Hospital* He joined St Agnes hospital as faculty and headed Minimally Invasive Surgery program from 2000-2008. He established this program in St Agnes and also founded Bariatric Surgery program in 2002.
Since then he has trained over 17 surgeons who have gone into Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery all across the country. He is now involved in starting a comprehensive program to treat obesity related disorders called ‘The Maryland Metabolic Institute at St Agnes”. *Top Doc* Dr. Singh has written many papers in peer published journals, over 20 presentations on obesity and Minimally Invasive surgery in both national and international conferences. He is an active member of: * American College of Surgeons (ACS) * ASMBS (American society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons) * SAGES (Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons). He has been ‘Top Doc’ for Bariatric Surgery in 2005 and then again in 2009 by Baltimore Magazine.
Dr. Singh lives in Howard County with his wife and two children. He is very active in his yard and likes to grow grape vines. He likes to play golf and spend remainder of his time with his family.
Dr. Isam Hamdallah is fellowship trained in Minimal Invasive Surgery and Weight LossSurgery (Bariatric Surgery) at University of California, Davis Medical Center, Sacramento. He completed his residency training at Saint Agnes Hospital and, has obtained MRCS degree after performing residency training in England and Wales.
He has performed and participated in over 2000 surgical cases throughouthis career.
